Eboli, 26.05.2026<\/em> \u2014 Amaro Don Carlo,<\/strong> the artisan herb liqueur from Eboli, continues to be a protagonist on the national scene and at international tasting panels, with its trophy cabinet \u2014 already worthy of a top scorer \u2014 enriched by prestigious new accolades.<\/p>\n\n

Last March, at the 17th edition of the Concours International de Lyon<\/strong>, came the Silver Medal<\/strong> recognising the quality and care with which this product is crafted by Carlo Gargiulo<\/strong> and Angela Caliendo<\/strong>. Lyon’s event is a major occasion, bringing together 1,000 tasters from around the world in the French gastronomic capital to evaluate outstanding wines, beers and liqueurs. <\/p>\n\n

A Silver Medal<\/strong> was also awarded at the London Tasting Awards 2026<\/strong> in April, a competition showcasing the finest examples across its categories, in which this year samples from 30 countries were tasted and assessed by a panel of 66 international experts.<\/p>\n\n

Equally impressive are the successes recently achieved by Amaro Don Carlo within Italy’s own borders, all united by a precious fil rouge leading back to the creative, eclectic and visionary Angela Caliendo, who perfected her formula in 1994.<\/p>\n\n

Engaged in the world of packaging, window dressing and cake design for over thirty years, Angela has received two important recognitions from the Associazione Vetrinisti & Visual Europei<\/strong>, chaired by Cav. Giuseppe Marco Pasquarella: in April, at the Sala del Parlamentino of the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy in Rome,<\/strong> the prize of the National Competition “Il Made in Italy in Vetrina”<\/strong>, aimed at highlighting Italian excellence through creativity; and in May, in the magnificent setting of the Maschio Angioino in Naples, the award “The Excellences of Made in Italy in the South”.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n

This series of accolades closes with the Italy Food Awards 2026<\/strong> on 23 May, at which the Special Mention<\/strong> was awarded to Gargiulo Coloniali for Amaro Don Carlo<\/strong> during the awards gala held at the Casina di Macchia Madama in Rome.<\/p>\n\n

Made from walnut husk (60%) and a blend of selected herbs and spices, Amaro Don Carlo is an elegant and refined after-dinner drink, a meditation liqueur and a precious ally in mixology and in the kitchen for the preparation of fine dining dishes.
